We have a free museum display which includes Alfonzo, Aloysius (from Brideshead Revisited), Theodore (Peter Bull's favourite bear) and many of the original bears in The Teddy Bear Encyclopedia.
A particular example in our museum in Witney is a tiny English, velveteen piglet, circa 1920, identical to Christopher Robin's (which is now in the children's section of the New York Library).
We also have a quantity of Milne ephemera including a telegram in the handwriting of Christopher Robin's mother, to his nanny. In this she has changed the spelling of Piglet to Biglet - we believe because he went by this name in the Milne household.
Do come and see us, our opening times are: Monday to Friday 9.30 - 5.30 Saturday 9.30 - 5.00 Sunday 10.30 - 4.30
