Welcome to Teddy Bear Fair.
It’s the new meeting place for everyone interested in teddy bears, whether you’re looking for bears or bear-making parts; exhibitions near you; or want to chat with other makers and collectors.
Teddy Bear Fair links hi-tech and tradition to bring you all the information you want in the teddy bear world.
Post on this forum to tell us what you think so far. Or start your own discussion thread to share information with other teddy bear enthusiasts. Is Teddy Bear Fair exactly what you need? Are you looking for something that we’ve not included? Is there something you want to share with other teddy bear lovers?
Keep posting your feedback so the site can keep improving.

Today, Teddy Bear Fair Forum is open for business. Tell your friends and start the ball rolling.
If you check out the Events and Exhibitors sections over the next two to three weeks you will see a number of new entries. These are being pre-loaded for testing purposes whilst the technical stuff is being assembled behind the scenes. Our current plan is that you will be able to directly enter the site yourselves during August prior to its launch in September, the beginning of the 2006/7 Teddy Bear Year.

Thanks for the info Tina and congratulations on your first attempt to use the Forum. Together with Steffi you've put Scotland 2-0 in the lead. Now you can start talking to one another and spread the word. With a new Bear Fair looming, I'm sure there is plenty to talk about over the next few months and plenty of fellow exhibitors to talk to.
Good luck

Hello to everyone.
This is just the site I have been waiting for. I have taken several bear classes and would love to get into making my creations more often but find that full time work just makes it very hard to do. I am determined to make more time for my projects though and hope to pick up some tips from this site. So far I have sold one bear and made several as gifts for family and friends only.
Hope to chat more soon
Paula :)

Hi Paula,
Welcome to Teddy Bear Fair. As you can imagine, I feel like a new dad all over again - watching everything that's going on. TBF has been designed for everyone with an interest in teddy bears and I'm hoping that in the months and years ahead you will get all the help and support you need. Just post your questions under 'Bear Making Questions', all the answers are out there!
In the meantime can I encourage you to launch yourself as an exhibitor, I'm sure that a Free listing will be of benefit and put you in touch with other makers in your area. Who knows you may like to start a makers club in due course. Just click on 'How To Exhibit' for all the info.
Best wishes
Chris

What a fab site. I have only recently started bear making and have picked up a lot of tips already! I'm sure I'll be surfing a lot and this site is definitely going in my favourites. Michelle

Hi Jenni,
Lovely to meet a fellow needlefelter. Do you have a copy of the book "Needlefelting Magic, making beautiful teddybears" by Barbara Allen? It is available from Christie Bears, and it is really comprehensive and very well illustrated. A very useful resource book.
look forward to meeting your felted teddybear.

Hi, my name is Irene, I started making teddy bears again after a difficult time in my life, and so far it's working! I enjoy creating new bears. My plan was to sell them, but so far I have 5 bears and cannot seem to part with them ;). But at least the first priority was met, my difficult times are moving into the past and I am enjoying making my new 'bear family' grow.
The only problem I seem to haveis sourcing materials in Holland, especially child friendly joints/eyes/noses....
Anyway, I hope to meet more people here who also enjoy teddy bears :)
