Teddy caught a mouse earlier, I took it off him and put it in the garden under the decking. Ziggy very pleased with his first catch brought the poor little thing back in again. Mouse now tucked up in Extra Fine Excelcior, out of reach of naughty cats. Will let him go when cats are not looking and he has recovered a bit more.

That is precisely what I would have done too Judi!!! :D
I can just imagine the poor little mouse snuggled up now in a cosy bed and tucking into a slap-up meal before he is released.

Keep warm,
Sheila

I don't think that mouse will never leave after you give him such an ideal bed,
If I was a mouse I'd love to sleep in some fine wood wool......

Well little mousey did survive and I released him in a safe place, he was quite lively once he got over the shock. I had a little Google about field mice and guess what, turned out he was not a field mouse but a Yellow Mouse. I have never heard of a yellow mouse, but when I took a good look at the little chap, he was most certainly yellow underneath. Shows you are never too old learn, but how interesting is that. :D

That is definitely one very lucky mouse, I've never heard of a yellow mouse either, I suppose you didn't take any pictures of the little cutie?

I only thought of taking a picture of him once he was scampering through the undergrowth. There is bound to be a next time, those cats of mine are naughtey boys. But you can see a picture of a Yellow Mouse if you Google it.:)
