For softness I love curly kid mohair, it is so silky and soft and for more cuddliness a nice belly fill of glass beads does the trick for me.

Out of Mohair and Moccasin, I believe only Mohair is a woven fabric. Moccasins are traditional footwear used by Native Americans for many centuries. They are made from all types of animal skins and lined with animal fur. In some parts of Alaska, Teddy bears are still made alongside moccasins and in some cases are made from beaver pelts.
There can be no comparison, angora goats do no have to be killed so that you can enjoy a soft cuddly teddy bear. Beaver fur is best left on the beavers, for them to enjoy the warmth in the wild.
As far as mohair is concerned I have to agree with Melanie Jayne, kid mohair is a rare luxury, but don't ignore a very dense Alpaca/Mohair mix, it can be slightly dull in appearance, but you can lose your fingers in the really soft pile.

If you want a real snuggle, then a good dense alpaca with a 1" pile is the answer! It's lovely and soft, with a wonderful woollinness to it. Oh yum!
