Hi,
I am planning on having some labels woven to put on my rabbits. Does everyone put in a woven /sewn in label as I can never see any on the photographs ? Do the customers have a preference as to where they do or do not like to see a label?
I would like to put in a label in as it would identify my work for future centuries, ha ha, and when my rabbits are on the antiques roadshow I would like to be there in heaven looking down wishing I'd got that price for them when I was alive !

Yes, Shelly, I always put a label very low down on the back seam, so it is hidden when the teddy sits down. I get my labels from G.B. Labels. The company advertises in the Exhibitors section of the Teddy Bear Fair. They are very reasonably priced and excellent delivery. A really super company to deal with, and NO, they are not paying me to say that!!
I'll join you in Heaven and watch the Antiques Road Show with your rabbits and my bears. It's gonna be fun.

Hi Shelly
Like Sheila, all my teddies have a sew in label, but I put mine in the back seam of the left leg. You can't see it when the bear is sitting down, but it's quite wise to have some sort of permanent identification on your creations when you're selling them.:)

This site may be of interest if you are considering labeling your bears.

My sewn in labels go in the bear's back seam, at the top of his bottom. I've used 'Diverse Marketing' up in Scotland for years.

I too put labels in the back seam just above the bottom.(tush tags)
I used Cash's http://www.jjcash.co.uk/introduction.htm. They are very helpful and will do small quantities.

Thanks for that Sandra I'll give them a go. The avatar is my new rabbit, if you go to show and tell section and click on the 'Just born' thread you can see him in all his glory there.

I had some labels done saying "Smiley Riley" :D but they are a bit oversize for my bears...(so we are using them to label James's clothes...that's his nickname at Lamb's !!)....
Does anyone have a URL for anyone who does narrow labels....narrower than the standard ones. (incidentally, you can get good "normal" ones from www.wovenlabels.com . I got James some nice ones with a train for no extra change. And they are speedy too) :)
Thanks!

I always get my labels from GB Labels. They advertise in the Exhibitor's section. They are REALLY fast and very reasonable too, and a pleasure to do business with. Check them out, you will not be disappointed.

I get my labels from minilabels.co.uk and have used them for years. You can buy in small quantities. I always sew mine into the back seam, low down too.

Good selection....does anyone know if anyone does a label narrower than 8mm?? Or can anyone suggest something that wouldn't look out of place on a 4 inch bear?? (Like my avatar).
And in small quantities!
Or am I being just too darn picky...!!! :6044:

Yeah, I know this is a very old thread, but I was looking for something on making/positioning eyelids, and thought I'd put my spoke in!
Try:

their fabrics to print on would make labels. Just tile your design onto the A4 sheet, print it, and cut to size!

I have just ordered some labels from Woven Labels UK, and wondered if anyone had used this company before? There is a preview function on the website, which is quite handy (as I changed the font of the lettering about 8 times) he he :6045:

I too got mine from cash labels but they're too big for some of my bears so all my bears have a 5 ponted star on the left foot pad even the teeny weeny ones...I sometimes put tiny initials too ...just safer when selling them I would definitely label them in some way.
