Which was your favourite bear(s) (or critter/doll) of 2006 from those that you designed yourself and why?

I've put my thinking cap on and I keep coming back to three bears, the first two made in similar style, but for different reasons. 'Ooh la la' was made as a commission for a certain Frenchman's museum shop in French France. Eric selected the colours for his bear (boys always want blue!) and I took it from there. I think this bear definitely inherited Monsieur Petit's sparkle in his eye!

One of the commissions I was the most nervous about is another of my favourites. 'Sparkle' was a special commission for Santa's sack and I'm relieved to hear that my six year old niece has completely fallen in love with him! I knew purple was her favourite colour and I wanted to design a really special bear, with real six-year-old appeal!

Finally, I mustn't overlook Sunny Jim. I took a chance by seeking out a really bright, sunshine yellow mohair because I wanted this bear to get noticed. After all, he was my donation for this year's 'Dare to Care' auction in aid of the NSPCC, my chosen charity. As founder of British Bears on the Net's Dare to Care community venture, I couldn't let it slip by unnoticed this year, just because I wasn't in a position to run it myself. Fortunately, lovely Kathy Martin of Teddy Bear Scene magazine offered to take the weight off my shoulders and she ran the auction in TBS, which left me free to make a really special bear for the auction. I loved making Sunny Jim and was really proud to learn he'd raised £580 for the NSPCC and Dare to Care raised over £2300 in total!!
So there are my favourites of 2006, does anyone else have some to share with us?
