Just a reminder about this forums challenge, its open to old and new members and you have the chance of winning a Copic airbrush set and pen provided very kindly by Judi.
The challenge is to create a red panda, let your imagination run wild it can be any size, dressed or undressed it could be anime style or traditional, antique looking panda or modern anything goes, it just needs to resemble a panda.
Entries to be posted the 3rd and 4th weekend of July so it gives you plenty of time, hope you all have ago.
Please post photos in this section as it is not overly used.
Happy Red Panda making.

Hey Hannah,
I definitely haven't forgotten the Red Panda Challenge!
I've been busy working on my lil fella! It took me a while to sort a pattern, I spent a weekend throwing scraps of paper in the bin because it just wouldn't meld together.
Now my lil bear is just laid on the ironing board next to me, he still needs a lot of work doing to him, but so far I've really enjoyed making him. Seeing each little bit as it comes together has been very exciting for me (as sad as that sounds!). When I finished the last piece on friday afternoon, I just sat at my pc with my bear pieces in hand saying "I love you!" "You're so cute!" :6030: I'm hoping when he finally receives a face that I won't have ruined him!! :6022:

He sounds great Moo. :6086: Now I'm sure everyone will be eager to meet your little fella. Hurry up and finish the head. What I mean is don't rush the head 'cos that's the most important piece of any bear, but I'm impatient right now to see a little cutie! :D

I am going to have a go - it is quite difficult to find the right colour of red for the panda, but it is really good fun thinking about the pattern - I did actually see some red panda last year in China - they are adorable and so cute so hopefully this will be a great reminder for me. xx

I wasn't sure if we were to post our piccies here or start a new thread, so I thought I'd post a note here to say I've started a new thread :D

I could definitely believe he was a flutter-by-bear! He looks so life like :D They are gorgeous, every time we go to our local zoo our red pandas are always high up in the top of the trees having a nap! We very rarely get to see them as well as that!

HeeHee , he looks sooooo soft and cuddly doesn't he?
By the way I'm just noting here that I'm sure Sheila would've commented on your "Blue" Mandy but she rang yesterday to let me know her computer has decided no internet for the time being! Poor Sheila is feeling very disappointed that she can't join in with the usual fun here!! :(:(
Hope you'll get things fixed soon Shelia ! :6034:

I don't envy you Sheila, we don't realise how much we miss the internet until we don't have it! I'm lucky I can still read the forums from my phone, which I do, an awful lot  So much so the forums are even saved to the 'desktop' on my phone :D
Glad to see you are back now though! :6026:

If you think going without internet is bad try going without electricity for a couple of hours. Not as bad as going without for days but it happend last year in the middle of the day before I was hooked on bears.... Funny thing was I decided to clean didn't get far though  bit hard without hot water (electric boiler), vacume cleaner etc was so glad to have internet on my phone though at least I could find out what was going on together with everyone else resulted in slow internet.....
I'm so glad you are back online Sheila, luckily you weren't ofline for too long

Finally trimmed his muzzle a wee bit more on friday, bf had a strop because I took a piccy on my iphone (hence bad photo) instead of waiting for him to take it on saturday  So he's finally finished officially - until I find something else I can adjust hehe
Now where are all the others?!
