Glasgow bear fair

Hi to all bear enthusiasts in Scotland, do you you know about the teddy bear fair in Glasgow on 22nd October ? I will be there with my bears, will you. See you all at Glasgow!:)

Hi Tina

so glad that you are looking forward to the fair. Somehow I have managed to grind to a halt with my bear making, made one for the NSPCC Dare to Care campaign and nothing since. On the positive side it does mean that I have been spending time trying to make sure everything goes smoothly on the day. Over the last 48hours I have had calls from people still wanting to book so I am hoping to have more on the exhibitors list by the end of the week. If anyone in the area would like to bring old bears to the show then Vectis will have a rep giving free valuations.

I do know one thing it should be a good laugh, if you have never met Dawn from Hugs Unlimited and Lynn from Madabout Bears then you won't yet know what I mean. You have my full permission to aks either about Ann Summers parties, ok not quite bear related but a good laugh any way.

Hoping for a great day and really looking forward to finally meeting you and others from the Highlands that I haven't yet met.

Hi Steffi,

I know what you mean about grinding to a halt. I seem as if I have sold more bears since I have been trying to make a stock of them for the fair, in fact Jeremy sold one for me while I was out yesterday so thats another one I will be short! DID I REALLY BOOK A DOUBLE TABLE?????. I suppose if they all lay down asleep it will look full, so if you hear snoring from one side of the room you know its the bears and not me under the table. As soon as I get home from the fair I will have to start making them ready for next year (possibly put them aside just fot that!), You are running it again next year arnt you?? (not trying to stress you out or anything He! He!).
Anyway on a more serious note, I know all about these Ann Summers parties so I can imagine. I believe that they do sell 'teddies', but not as we know them. Non of them at Glasgow, all bears in the fur, with a few respectfully dressed.

I had a look at the up to date list of exibitors for Glasgow fair and its looking good, it will be a brilliant day I am sure. I am counting the days, and the bears (have I made enough yet??). I think I will have to sedate the bears for the day before as they are getting far too excited and they might distract me while I am driving with all the chitter chatter and giggling. Teddy bears also dont make very good back seat drivers, they always know better than we do how to drive.
