Just had to show you tree that came down in the storm last week and missed me by a whisker!! I was pushing the wheelbarrow full of hen meal directly in the path of the tree, when it just uprooted itself moments later.
As if that wasn't enough, all my goats panicked and Angus my pygmy goat got trampled on and ended up in hospital (veterinary of course). He is home now but is having to be fed by a bottle every two hours. I think he loves all the fuss and attention.
From now on I am going to appreciate every moment of every day. It is just great to still be alive.
Love to all

Heavens above, that was a lucky escape. It does tend to focus the mind on what really matters. Glad that you are all fine, and just think of all the logs you have now. Just the small job of chopping them all up:6028:

Oh, if only we still had an open fire we would happily turn the tree casualty into logs. I shall put the idea to hubby when he gets home.

Glad to hear you're all right Sheila. It sounds great where you live surrounded by all those animals. I grew up with goats and I remember milking them as a teenager. If I had the room I would love a pygmy goat they've got such great characters.

Good grief Sheila - that was a very close call, glad to hear your OK. Poor Angus though, I do hope he makes a speedy recovery, poor little lamb! (Or kid as the case may be!)
