Synthetic Mohair

I've been reading some old issues of 'Teddy Bear Scene' and they mention synthetic mohair but I've just not been able to find it on the internet. Is this still available? I wanted to make a bear for one of the granddaughters of a friend of ours but I didn't want to use mohair as she's only 6 years old. Can anyone help?:6019:

Have to admit I've never heard of synthetic mohair, only synthetic fur but I find it a nightmare to work with and would stick with Mohair.

I'm quite sure faux fur is synthetic fur and you can get it cheap in a few places
