Hi everyone - I'm finding it sooooooo hard to get things done at the moment - I've so much to do - all of equal priority - by the time I've procrastinated I've done nothing.:6022:
I don't know how you Ladies fit it all in!- your bearmaking, computer stuff (I'm not getting any better with Photoshop layering) housework and cooking, cleaning the car - gardening. (I've no problem at all prioritising my puppies) I wanted to try to make some ATC's. and I've reading a mile high to be done.
Thanks for letting me whinge :6022: I'll go and procrastinate some more.

They say that procrastination is the thief of time, and is possibly quite true, but I heard a version of that recently. It goes something like this - "Never put off till tomorrow what you can do today, because if you enjoy doing it today you can do it again tomorrow as well!"
In my case at the moment I am still bottle feeding my very poorly pygmy goat roughly every hour and a half, so teddy bears have a choice of sitting patiently for my return or they get those needles threaded and make themselves.
I am sure this is really dumb of me but what are ATC's?? I would love to see them whatever they are.
Happy procrastinating.

I'm struggling with a change to my pattern. You know what it's like, I have exactly in my mind how I want it to look, it's just a case of transfering that to 3D......in fur!! I'm sure everyone has had this problem at some point and I just keep putting it off. But, tonight is the night I'm going to crack it , positive thinking and all that...........
I'll let you know how I get on.

I am still here, just not achieving things as quick as I would like. Poor daughter's car looks as if it is a write-off. The police have confirmed that the guy was driving on false plates, not only that but someone matching the description had done the same the night before to someone else. Seems that 4 hours after daughter's accident the other car was found burned out in a nearby park, obviously damaged too much. It is all so complicated as the guy who has the real version of the registration is trying to sell his car and has had to instruct a solicitor to make sure that he is not implicated. As for daughter she is back at work, really didn't need to be having to buy another car as she is saving for a house.
As for the bears who pinched all the hours is a day? I am so far behind with paperwork etc that the bears are in pieces, quite literally. To think I was going to be so organised this year. Then there is a small matter of applying for a passport for the trip to France... Think I should go fill that form in.
Hope to be back when I have caught up. There positive I will catch up.
Hugs, Steffi

Sandra, were you talking about Artist Trading Cards ? I LOVE making them as well:6013: For those who haven't been initiated; they are small tradeable/swapable cards ,2.5" by 3.5", which can be totally mixed media ,or some people paint/draw mini works of art ! They are a great way to show off photos of bears...creatively the skys the limit !!! Sheila I'll try to get some pics of some - ooohh let's see some of yours too Sandra :) :p Unless that wasn't what you meant and now you all think I'm nuts !!!!:6019: :6086: :6086:

Yes - that's exactly what I meant. :6013:
I'm still in the ideas stage - never actually made one yet - show us yours please for inspiration and any tips you have? (Cheeky aren't I?)
What did you mean about showcasing your bears via ATC's?
p.s. Love the name Flutterby - we always used that term as a family - never Butterfly - I think its more evocative somehow. It amazes me how they fly in a definite direction despite the wind blowing the other way - ........... Isn't nature amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Sandra, there's a whole collecting genre of "beary" ATCs ,I did a multiple swap on another group.I use photos of my bears and collage them on to the cards using backing papers ,stickers, ribbon, mini tags that sort of thing. It's a lovely way to store photos of bears for yourself, let alone to swap.I've considered putting ATCs in with selected bears as part of the package as it were. Will definitely nudge Hubby in to whipping camera out later !:D :6034:

I managed to get a quick snap (here's one I made earlier....:p )

As far as tips are concerned I'm not sure I've made enough yet !!!! Oh I know,I find the best method for sticking down the layers of collaging is to use micro glue dots(where you rub down just the required amount) or Impex tape. Both give a highly secure and completely flat finish, unlike glue! Some people like to "raise" areas by using the sticky pads, which does look effective for the photo parts.
Thanks Sandra for saying you like the name Flutter-By ; the first little bears I made were always with butterfly wings on the back, I was quite addicted for a while !:6045:

FANTASTIC......................
I'd never have thought about this - what a great idea for me to pinch:6086:
Your customers would be delighted to receive an ATC with their new little friend I'm sure. (How you make your bears so small in the first place beats me!!!!!!!!!!!!) I've said before on another post - I tried once and ended up killing it. My arthritic fingers wouldn't comply :6022: I may have another go at some stage (don't like to be beaten) I find tiny bears so compelling.
