A big hello to everybody here!

I just discovered this forum today and I love it already. :D So many wonderful bears and other fabulous animals have been posted, my goodness what a bunch of talented and creative people you all are.

I have just started making my first teddy bear, in fact it's my first soft toy creation ever so goodness knows how it will turn out. I highly doubt that it will be of a standard high enough to be shown on here..... perhaps when I have improved a bit I may have the courage to share. :p In the mean time I will just admire your marvellous bears etc and hopefully soak up some tips to help me make a better job of mine.

oh don't be to shy to show your first bear. Everyone has a 'first'. I'm in the middle of making my first bear right now. I've started a thread on it, on here.
We can be 'firsts' together..lol

I can only say the same, everyone has made a 1st Teddy and to be honest - my first looked like an Alien - but my "dog" is very happy with him *lol* (in actual fact I did not give it to him, but he is a little thief regarding soft cuddly toys).

As long as you enjoy it , that's the main thing. Look forward to seeing your bear. Have you read through all the old threads ? You may find some useful information.

Well OK then, as soon as my first project is done I will post some piccies, no matter what it looks like, lol. Gulp! I hope that its not too dodgy. I must say that I am having so much fun making it, though I should say him really as I already think the teddy is a boy.

I don't know why I haven't have a go at this before as I've always really loved soft toys. I would fill the house with them if I had the funds (and was allowed to, my better half would definitly object to that however) and now that I've discovered all your lovely creations..... Well I'm really going to have to keep myself in check.

Right, time to do some more stitches I think.

I just wanted to say that I've almost finished my first bear, just gotta finish the paws and he'll be all done. I love him already, though no doubt I'm kind of biased considering the amount of time it has take to create him. I will post some pics as soon as he is finished. Please be gentle with him/us. :6086:
