Stuffing question

Hi all,

I'm creeping ever closer the stuffing stage of my teddy (yay!) and have been considering what I would like to use for the job. Does steel shot need to be enclosed in a fabric bag before being added to the arms, legs or tum?

Not sure what the 'rule book' says, but yes I always enclose steel shot. I use stockings or tights. I tie a tight knot at one end, pour a measured amout of shot into the stocking, and then cut the stocking leaving a few inches for the pellets to spread out a bit and then tie another knot above the pellets.

I do hope that makes sense, and never throw away a pair of stockings, as they are just right for pellets.
