Hi everyone, I have been making a few designs of my own and now want to make them up but I don't want to attempt it on Mohair in case it doesn't come out well so if anyone could give me any hints on what type of material to use for the "wet cats" (as Nancy Tillbergh calls them). Would cotton be suitable or should I use something thicker like a fleecy material. Hugs, Coraleen

i've been using a reasonable quality polycotton for wetcats. I agree, I wouldn't want to try out a new pattern in fur straightaway being a beginner.
I think I'd be a bit worried about fleece stretching?

The fleece (its not sheeps fleece but the material they make track suits from) does have a bit of a stretch to it and I was also wondering about it but I think I will try your polycotton and see how that comes out. Many thanks for your help, Beartrande.:6017:

They have a wonderful fabric for this at the fabric stores. It is a curly type, usually cotton or polyester. Not must of a stretch at all but easy to handle and turns out quite cute!
