Well back from Hugglets.
I went down on the train on Saturday with my two boys and husband. We went nearly straight away to the theatre to 'Les Miserables', it was the second time that I'd seen it, I went about 8 years ago when I was pregnant with my second son. It was great, I really enjoyed it.
Today it was Hugglets and the first time that I've been. My husband took the boys to the Natural History Museum, while I indulged.
Well it was so busy. I got there about 10.45am and there was quite a long queue, and the chocolates were already being handed out. When the doors opened I actually got in very quickly.
I did end up being there till about 3pm which amazed me but there was alot to see. I was able to say 'hello' to Paula , her bears looked wonderful and to Yvonne who's stand also looked fabulous (lovely chatting to you both).
I also met ,Chris and Judi (nice to put a face to the voice) thanks for the help and advice.
It was great to see the bears in the flesh after only seeing pictures of them in magazines, and I was surprised at how much smaller they were than I imagined . I recognised many makers designs but they all seemed to be about a good few inches than I thought they would be ! It makes me think that my rabbits are actually quite big.
I didn't invest in any teddies , being a rabbit lover , and I didn't see any rabbits that really took my fancy or rather that I could afford. It was great to have hands on feel of the mohair from the various suppliers, but I did expect to see some other suppliers that I hadn't yet heard of. I did find some faux fur so I'm quite excited about using that.
There where lots of antique toy stands which I enjoyed browsing round and to have them all in one place was quite useful and I was able to gather lots of business cards. Apparently I heard that there was an antique bear for sale at the bargain price of £7000, wow I wonder if it got sold?
My overall experience was very enjoyable but if I went again and wasn't going for any particular item, then I would go later because it was much quieter after lunch and I was able to speak more with the stall holders and really that's the best thing ,meeting and chatting to different people .
Right going for a sit down, If I'm tired then I don't think we will hear from the 4 mentioned above I'm sure they must be shattered....hats off to you!!
