Just Joined

Hi Everyone,

I just joined on Sunday night and I'm just trying to find my way around this great forum for all things teddy!

When my son was younger, we used to collect bears, then I started making them... I have a few health problems so only made little bears as I can't turn the big cotter pins. I made quite a few bears for friends and family but as my son got bigger - and I ran out of people to make bears for - it kind of fizzled out about 9 years ago. I finished a partly made bear about 2 years ago because my son was leaving home and taking my favourite bear - I had to make a replacement didn't I? :)

Somehow my teddy making has started up again and so far this year I've made 6!

Its going to be lovely to meet lots of other teddy enthusiasts.

It's nice to know that you have got back into bear making after a break. I can imagine you are really enjoying it, your bears are lovely too.

Welcome Belinda. I hear ya about those cotter pins. I am just not that strong. I use the little bolts and lock washers...so much easier for me! I just have to remember to glue the bolt to the one that goes into the head so it won't turn since I can't get pliers in there to hold it!
