Hello to everyone,

It's my first time on here. I have heard of this forum from a friend of mine and I have also found out in the information in the "Teddy Bear Guide 2007" (if there is any owner of this web site on here, it's good information for the statistic lol).

I have not learnt by heart the forum, however I find the aim very good. Why haven't we got this in France !! lol

Well it's said I am French lol.

I have had a look at the members list and I think I recognised a couple of names I already know and that I am already delighted to see here. I am shy lol

Shame it is not possible to speak about oversea event I would have had plenty of things to say ...:)

Xhat can I add now ?? Read you soon :D

Best Wishes

Bonjour,
Où habitez-vous en la France ? Etes-vous un fabricant de Teddy bears ?
Welcome .

Thanks Jenny and Sandra,

Hello Shelly,

I live in the South of France, near a town called Nîmes.

I am not a teddy bear maker, I am just a teddy bear lover.

I like the ones made by artist and I collect antique ones, only french ones.

I run a Toy Museum and I too organise a big teddy bear show called "The Great Bear". here is a link of my web site : http://www.jouetmusee.com

I read you like rabbits ... on my web site you will see one called "Dylan" from the Magic Roundabout lol

I have visited Jenny and Sandra web site, it's a lovely work !!!

Well you know a bit more about me now :D

ps : your french is pretty good !!!

Hi Sam
Welcome to the forum, lots of chat on here and it is not always about teddy bears. However, it is interesting to see all the advice that is handed out so freely by the teddy artists, what a great community to belong to. Hope that we hear a lot more from you.

Hi Eric and Sam and welcome to Teddy Bear Fair.

It is difficult to believe that the site was only launched about 4 weeks ago. Unless you know different I believe that it has already become the largest 'Market Place' Teddy Bear Website in the world (by number of Exhibitors) and there is so much more to do.

We are piloting in the UK and hopefully we will be picking up all your comments to improve the way it works. There are already a number of small changes in the pipeline. Once everyone is happy here, we will consider which countries to go to next, after all it is a .com!!

In the middle of this month our first advert will appear in the magazine of 'The Townswomens Guild' (40,000 members) just before Christmas and at an important time when that organisation is promoting an interest in hobbies, crafts and other activities. So you need to be here to avoid missing any opportunities that may present themselves in your area (not you Eric because France isn't in the UK yet;) but your time will come). Early next year we will continue to promote ourselves with other groups and organisations that could have an interest in what we do - after all there are over 61 million people on these islands and most of them don't know where we are..........YET!!

Shout loud, tell all your friends what we are about, bring back the fun and comradeship and who knows we may all be able to holiday in Nimes next year.

Good luck and best wishes

Chris

Ohhhhhhhhhh Hello Chris :)

We have met at Ally Pally last sunday haven't we ? It was nice to meet you, even if we have been in touch before because as you know, it was not my first time on the british ground.

I am also pleased to read the aim of this Internet Site sounds ambitious and when you would have found the interest on the 61 millions of people living in the UK you will be ready to work on the 60 other millions that live in France :D

If each one makes a little contribution it will grow quickly. I know you first are interested to the Great British people and I understand very well.

However, in case you would like to promote over sea in the year coming, I will offer a table for The Tedy Bear Fair.Com at my next show so you can meet people, speak, talk about the Teddy Bear Fair.com.

I always am up to interesting things.

By your presence at The great Bear 2007, you also could have an idea of how I run this event and how nice is the place where I am. So for The Great Bear 2008 you would be able to give the need of any Teddy Bear "Fairer" to come down to the sun .... hehehe :D and for holidays as well lol.

Come on Come on Come on lololol

Good Luck and best wishes too

Hi Eric,

Yes, Judi and I did meet you at Ally Pally last year as well. All the ladies talked about you long after you had gone, like they are doing again this year ;)

Thank you for your offer of a stand at The Great Bear 2007, we may accept it nearer the time but we must make sure Teddy Bear Fair works properly in the UK before we create a French site. We will take some time to create a real French site, not a Franglais one. To do this, we might need help from somebody who speaks French; do you know anyone? :D

Have a great weekend, the UK has suddenly moved 500 miles nearer to the North Pole. I hope Nimes is warmer.

Best wishes

Chris

Morning Chris,

Ok for Ally Pally... if all the ladies talked about me long after I have gone it means the show was not busy lolol

Speaking about a French Site, I did try last month to start something but I was too much busy so I gave up, thinking I will create something later.

Do I know someone speaking french ???? No idea sorry :D :D

South of France has come back to normal temperatures which are colder than last week. Having had till 30° in the last days of october was unusual enough even in the South of France !!!

Read you soon
