I have a copy of The Teddy Bear Encyclopedia by Pauline Cockrill, and it shows hundreds of bears with colour photographs and full descriptions of every bear. I am probably totally wrong BUT one does look very similar on page 183. It is byThe Knickerbocker Toy Company and was made in the late 1930s. Its height is 14 inches.
I'm not sure if I can scan it for you without damaging my book as it is right in the middle pages and the book won't open any more. Anyway, I will have a go tomorrow for you.
Best wishes.
Sheila.

I have managed to scan the bear from the encyclopedia but it looks rather distorted. I suggest you try and get a copy of the book as it shows bears from the early 1900s up to present day. I am still searching for my first teddy as well.401
Good luck with your search.
Sheila.
