I knew when I first registered with Teddy Bair Fair, that I was on to something really good. But I was wrong - this is something REALLY SPECIAL.
It just gets better every day as more people join in the numerous topics and have their say.

My only criticism, of the constructive kind of course, is that I would like to see much more precise information about uploading photos, and generally guiding computer dummies (yes, I am one of them!) step by step in a really easy to understand format that we can then print out for future reference.

I am finding my way around now, and have to confess I am on my computer at the crack of dawn each day, together with my mug of freshly brewed coffee. Ahhhhhhhhhh sheer bliss.

Best wishes to all.

Sheila.

I agree too.

I'm a quill pen person - so its best to assume I know nothing.........

I haven't even sorted out my avatar yet.....................

I also feel that this forum is going to be fantastic and agree with everything you have said, but I would like to see a section where we can post photographs of all our creations, not only do I like showing off my own bears, but I love, love, love seeing other artist creations too.

Hi everyone

Images

When you type your message, click on the paper clip icon then you can upload an image file (make sure it's not too large - say 300 pixels). Once you have uploaded it, you will need to click on the paperclip again to select the file. This will then embed the file onto your message....

Yup! That works.

Avatars

To set up your Avatar, firstly create an image you would like to use, size it to a maximum of 80 x 80 pixels and save it. Then log in to the Forum, open your User Control Panel (User CP) and click on 'Edit Avatar' in the Left Hand Navigation Box.

Follow the instructions in the window and download your image from your computer. Click 'Save Changes' and hopefully that will do it.

I understand your need for a help sheet and will talk about it to Paul. In the absence of this you may find some answers under FAQ on the top tool bar.

Hopefully the above information will set you up to move forward to more enjoyment.

Chris

ps Jenny has already started a Thread - 'You show me yours and I'll show you mine' under 'Teddy Bear General Discussions', but no-one has followed on yet??

Yes Chris I don't know how I managed to get that picture up that big...it just happened . But when I tried to load my next picture..on another thread it was really small and blurred..though my photo is clear as a bell. I gave up trying and just uploaded it in the end..but it's much too small to illustrate anything.. I can't work out why I managed to upload a big picture on that first thread yet can't manage it now..even though I had a file of 300pixels. I don't understand computers by the way!! I notice others have managed to get a big picture uploaded..what am I doing wrong?
