... or in other words, show us a piccie of your favourite place, near to where you live ... it can be your back garden, the local park, a beautiful river, an impressive buildling, or just somewhere that was special for you, in which case, share your story! ;)

This is a chance for us to practise uploading pics and I for one, need the practice before I get thrown out of TBF school for not doing my homework!!:D

So, to start us off *rummages through files, blows dust away, sneezes* here's a couple of my special places.

Firstly, (sorry pics are so small, I'm uploading them from my website rather than my computer because I still haven't sussed the paperclip system! Shame on me!:o )

This is Polperro in Cornwall, a tiny smugglers' village nestling in the foot of the cliffs. I have spent many happy summers pottering around here and I intend to spend many more!

The town I live in, isn't what you'd call beautiful by a long shot, but I've lived here a long time and if you live somewhere long enough, you'll find somewhere special to you. This is a view of the River Medway, which is just a few minutes walk from me. This reminds me of my teenage years ... courting and ice-creams!

When I need to escape from the bears, I walk to Mote Park which isn't far from me. I've been walking round this lake for over thirty years ... my kids, now 21 and 23, used to take bread to feed the ducks when they were just babies!

This is the lake at twilight ... pretty eh? What was I doing there at twilight? Hmmn. Can't remember for the life of me! ;o)

Well, I could rattle on for ever, but I'll stop here for now and look forward to seeing some of your favourite places. If anyone can make the paperclip system work, I shall be green with envy!!:6022:

I've only shown you the best bits Jenny ... there are plenty more that aren't so good! The new 'blot on the landscape' incinerator on the other side of town would put the place in perspective I think! :D

Looking forward to seeing your pics ... :6018: :6018:
