Gabrielle Paddington Bear wanted

I am looking for the early version of the Gabrielle Paddington Bear. The one I am looking for has stumpy feet and the cloth tag states Gabrielle Designs Made in Britain design # 957892. :6080:

I have had a look on eBay and there appears to be several Gabrielle Paddington Bears. I noticed one in particular with the stumpy feet had an asking price of £375. Ouch!!
Well worth having a browse through the site.

I have a paddington bear with this tag number on, he is complete with duffle coat, wellington boots and his own set of original pyjamas.

I would like to sell him - how much would you consider paying for him?

I too saw the advert on ebay for 375.00.

As a seller of antique and vintage bears including early Paddington Bears, there is no way ever that an early Paddington Bear would be worth this kind of figure of £ 375.00. I have bought and sold several over the years but this price is only an asking price and it is way over the top, especially in the present economy.
You could get an early stumpy Paddington perhaps not in mint condition but you have to be very careful of the word mint as sometimes the hats and coats have been remade and if you were a novice you would not know the difference. There are other issues as well but it would take too long to list them all. I would estimate that £ 100.00 - £ 150.00 retail would be tops for an exceptionally good condition Paddington.

I do actually have the bear you arev looking for but as it holds great senimental value I would be quite reluctant to sell it although I would consider any offers
