Hi,
You can buy DVDs on how to make bears from Tillington Bears, of 13 Hurdles Way Duxford. Their (our!) original DVD is how to make a bear from start to finish - beginner level. A second DVD is on how to resize and modify designs, for intermediate makers.
Each DVD lasts about an hour, and includes a pattern of a suitable bear. The DVDs are priced at £15 each, or £25 for the pair, p&p £2.50.
Tillington Bears also produce a range of their own designs on CD ROM, which contain about 15 pages of instructions in PDF format, and full-size patterns ready for printing out.
You can phone Tilly on 01223 837701, or email her at tilly@tillingtonbears.co.uk.
Hope this helps!

Hi Tilly
I am so pleased you replied to me through this forum. I have sent you an email to order the two DVDs from you. I'm sure these will help me to be a more confident bear maker. :)

Indeed we have! :)
For those of you who do not know us, we are Brian & Donna Gibbs aka Bridon Bears although we are now trading as Bridon Studios. We have been in the teddy bear business for over 15 years and many of you may know us through our books. We have written 5 books on how to make traditional teddy bears and have helped new bear makers all over the world learn to master the hobby with our range of kits and patterns.
Having had huge success in the past with our bear making videos, we have released a brand new DVD on Traditional Teddy Bear Making. It is aimed at beginners and follows in close up detail every stage of the bear making process and comes with the pattern for the bear you see being made so you can make your first bear with complete confidence.
For more experienced bear makers, we have put our most popular patterns on CD ROM so that you can print your own patterns whenever you need to. It also has a full colour illustrated PDF instruction booklet that you can print out if you need to.
Full details of all of our products are on our website http://www.bridonstudios.co.uk
where you can see sreenshots of both the DVD and CD ROMS
More pattern CD ROMS are in the pipeline to be released very shortly so take a look at our website, where you will also find special offers from time to time!
Hope to see you there soon!

Seems like Bridon Studios have some of the answer for you with printable instructions with their CD Roms. Have a look above.
Incidentally they say that a picture speaks a thousand words and in the case of Bridon's DVD 'A complete course for beginners' the detail in the presentation almost doesn't need words. Highly recommended!

Unfortunately, it is too late to add subtitles for the deaf to our Bear Making DVD (the editing software we used at the time did not make it an easy option) but we will certainly look into adding them to all of our future productions - this is our first DVD and as it is proving to be so very popular we will be producing many more titles during the coming year.
As Chris says 'a picture speaks a thousand words' and all of the DVD is shot in close up detail with no long shots to 'padd' it out so we concentrate entirely on showing you what matters...every step of making a traditional teddy bear.
The CD ROMS we have contain our most popular patterns for you to print out as and when you need them and they also have a pdf full colour (with detailed text) printable instruction book to help with making the featured bears.
I hope this helps - and if anyone is thinking of ordering the DVD for Christmas I would just like to say that orders are coming in fast and furious so it would be a good idea to place your order sooner rather than later!
Best wishes for a Merry Christmas to all of you :)

I am deaf too... I got the video and it was so clear to understand by watching it.. I have not asked, but to ask for transcript to read and watch might be good idea?? I do find book to read hard, thats why I went for DVD its good and much close up..
