We've changed the colours of the Forum, Events & Exhibitors section to help distinguish each section.
Do you think it looks okay? or would you prefer more subtle colours?
Let us know your thoughts... :6044:

Pink is a bit too bright for me but if everyone else likes it that's fine.:6086:
I was wondering - would it be possible to randomly rotate the exhibitors list. Its a bit hard on the W's if its done alphabetically all the time. :6022: :6022:

Hello Paul
All is fine lol :D.
I am not being pejorative at all, I personnaly think there is a "childish" side in the graphism... I would imagine it as little bit more professional.
Whatever, it does not change the interest of the forum and how interesting the members are.
Best Wishes

'I was wondering - would it be possible to randomly rotate the exhibitors list. Its a bit hard on the W's if its done alphabetically all the time.'
The answer is no - we tried and it didn't work because most visitors will refine their search either by Region or by Category or both thus diminishing the impact of a random alphabetic rotation. In fact we actually believe that a random rotation would have a detrimental effect on the visitors when they leave the site to look at one of your websites then return to a re-organised list - frustrating or what!!
Serious visitors will find this site quite compelling; what you have to do is entice them to 'View exhibitor in detail' with images of your fantastic bears, particular attention being given to those images that sit in the middle column.
This is just like a real Teddy Bear Fair where some exhibitors are near the entrance, some further away, but I have never seen a visitor go to the first table and then turn round and leave the place; they all check out every table either by quick glance or detailed scrutiny. What you have to do is grab their attention at their first glance. Over to you.
Hope you are having a great weekend.

Yes - that makes total sense.
Me and my big mouth - it was just a thought.
I'll go and sit in the naughty corner for a while:6022: :6086:

Hi Sandra,
It was a great thought. We actually spent about two months creating the software to randomise the exhibitors - its based on the Christie Bears Gallery (which is also random). But it wasn't until we got it working that we realised some of the pitfalls and on further consideration the cons outweighed the pros...so we shelved the idea. (but at least we know that it can be done if necessary).
So far TBF has taken over 18 months to develop and we are still refining it, but with your combined help and comments we are now getting towards the final brush-strokes.
Many thanks for getting involved, we really do appreciate the feedback.
Best wishes

This time you've invested is very evident in the look, facilities available and the quality of the graphics etc. :6018: :6026: Not a forum that has been cobbled together.
Speaking for myself - I'm enjoying the forum greatly. Its funny, friendly and not at all intimidating to new/novice bearmakers. The hardest thing is the computer stuff. Computers are like supermarket trolleys to me - you know where you want them to go - but getting there is another matter :6086:
Thank you all for your work.:6013:

I must be going colour blind or something............the new colour looks lilac rather than pink to me - and no, i am not going to start fiddling around with the colour balance on my monitor ha ha ha it will have to stay lilac.
I don't really care what colour the forum is so long as it is'nt black - that always makes my eyes bleed after a few minutes of viewing............so many websites are black, have you noticed?
