What are you up to today?

Me? I am going to work at 7.15am to do a long list of clients hair, till about 2.30...then I am coming home to finish a couple of bears that I've been working on this week, and hopefully take a couple of pictures before it gets dark! But that bit might have to wait till tomorrow!

Hopefully I can persuade my other half to go out for a bit of dinner tonight.

Not exactly the jet-set life-style!!

So come on...what are you doing?:6044:

It's 9.30am and I've done no more than have some cereal and juice so far. In a minute I'm going to soak in a lovely hot bath and after that, I will have to strip the beds, fling the hoover around a bit and generally tidy up. Then my daughter will come back from her swimming lessons (she's the teacher) and we'll go to Bluewater (white knuckle ride as she's driving) to find some pretty shoes for her works' Christmas do. I'm going to look for some festive trims for my bears while I'm there too .. and maybe pop into 'The Pier' for some scented candles and perhaps nip into Boots for the Clinique lady to work her magic with foundation colours and of course spray all the pretty perfume testers and .... and .... you get the picture??

If we get back in time (and I'm not too exhausted!) my other half will take me out for dinner ... hopefully to the nice pub restaurant on the other side of town, where the food is YUMMY!! :6013:

Eric, I've never tried a lamp with peppermint sauce ... isn't it a bit crunchy?:6044:

My daughter has come to visit for the weekend, so I am going to introduce her to the delights of Cardiff City. Take in some of the older parts, nice shops, and then to the new Cardiff Bay area, very modern. Not going near that fountain though, strange things have been happening there since 'Torchwood' arrived. If we get home without being attacked by aliens, then we are all going out for dinner tonight. ' Will someone tape X Factor for me'
Have a lovely weekend everyone. :6087:

I've been re-potting the tubs by my front door and the tradesman's entrance.

Just managed to finish when it started to rain - saves watering the plants in.

Now I'm going to settle down to watch rugby match on TV.

Life's a blast

It's a really miserable day up here in Southport, rainy and windy. I think I'll light a fire and watch a film with my boys. Oh and add some whiskers to a patient rabbit.

Good to see you on board Yvonne.

Whatever you do, you must not worry about making pistakes, everyone else here is new too and we are working well together to understand how this very simple and user-friendly system works. So if you are unsure, just ask. You will get at least half a dozen answers to each question (all different of course!!) :6019: :6044: :6091:

Riding on the beach sounds wonderful! I'd like my cobwebs blown away like that too!! :6045:

I've just uploaded a new bear to my website (and also to a corner of the forum!) and been fiddling around with backgrounds and so on. I'm always frustrated by my limited website building abilities whenever I want to update things ... for example, I haven't a clue how to make snow fall over my web pages or make stars twinkle and of course, now I want to spend time finding out but should be making a little lemon coloured bear for one of my customers instead. Ho hum. S'pose I'd better get back to it ... the bear that is!! :6022:

Now that was just what the doctor ordered, a flat out gallop along the beach. Cobwebs  I am lucky that I wasn't blown off too, but it was lovley. Miles of golden sand with just a haze of gold being blown in the wind, the sea was wild with white horses racing to catch up with ours. On the horizon the cliffs of Devon looking so pretty in the setting sun, oh I think I feel a poem coming on. Best quit whitst I am ahead, but it was a perfect ride.:6024:

Hey Shelly, I just wrote a reply to you, pressed the wrong key and bingo, it was all gone. Anyway, I was saying that I loved Chorley, made loads of friends there, still in touch with them. Lots to do and see, Astley Park, Rivington Pike. I had horses there and the children all had their first ponies there too. My son was born in Chorley Hospital and he likes to rub it in that he could play cricket for England and Rugby for Wales, some people are just plain greedy. :6034:

They have a big new hospital in Chorley, quite impressive, my sister lives quite near to it.
I agree there is a lot to do around here. You can easily get to the Lakes or Manchester if you want to venture out , but there's lots to do near by as well.
Oh I should work for the tourist board ! Where we live is quite rural and flat but I would much rather be surrounded by hills. Off to Southport, Christmas shopping today, and a spot of lunch with hubby.

I'm knitting today, huddled in the lounge in front of the tv. Luverly. Nope, it's not a skive, I have to make a cardi for the little lemon bear before she gets sent off to her new mum. :6045:
