Hi everyone, I hope it's OK to put up this post about my latest critter, it's about as far removed as one can get from a cute teddy bear. :6086:

My eldest son is 14 years old tomorrow and he asked me to make him something special for his birthday, a great white shark (typical boy eh!). He drew me a picture so that I'd know what his ideal shark would look like.

Here is what I came up with.

I decided not to give the teeth bloodstains but I did make them glow-in-the-dark instead. :D

Fingers crossed that he likes my effort. I hope you do too.

That's one big fishy grin Lisa :6086: I hope your son won't be your most fussy customer yet ??? In fact , I'm sure he will be instant pals with his special friend :6013: If I say he gives me the shudders I hope you'll know it's because he is SO brilliantly created !! :6045:

Wow, Lisa he is fantastic, and I am sure that your son will love him. Don't think I will be going in the sea for a while though

Lisa, How do you do it!! Just brilliant. What a challenge that one must have been. And how did you get glow in the dark teeth :6044: Perfect birthday present right down to the finest detail.

He he! Thanks guys.

The shark has gone down swimmingly, lol! He loves it thank goodness.

I made the teeth from glow-in-the-dark Fimo polymer clay. I bet you never knew it was available in that 'colour' did you? :6086: Once I saw it I just knew that I had to use it for the teeth. They were quite fiddly to make I must admit but I'm glad that I did as they are what he loves most about this shark, how typical.

Lisa, I love your shark - I'm sure your son will be really pleased. I'm finding bears challenging enough so I've no idea how you manage to create all these wonderful critters!
